Ashcombe & Co. is a small private housekeeping firm based in Lichfield, founded in 2017. We keep a deliberately short client list so that the same two or three people care for your home every week, learn how you like things, and are trusted with a key.
Our work is mostly period property: panelled rooms, stone floors, old timber, antique furniture and textiles that will not tolerate a supermarket spray. Our housekeepers are trained on the materials before they are trusted with them.
We are fully insured and every member of staff is DBS-checked and personally known to us. Nothing is subcontracted, and no one enters your home who has not been introduced to you first.

Every house is quoted after a visit, never over the phone. These are the arrangements we are asked for most often.

Regular housekeeping
A standing weekly or fortnightly visit, held for you. The same housekeepers each time, who learn the house and how you like it kept.

Seasonal deep clean
The twice-yearly reset: behind and beneath everything, into the cornicing, through the cupboards, and back again.

Handover clean
Preparing a property to be given back, handed over or presented — finished to inventory standard and documented.

Discreet out-of-hours care for consulting rooms, chambers, showrooms and estate buildings.
